Credit unions use member surveys to gain valuable feedback. Some of the member insight they gain can help spur improvements or new services, direct marketing initiatives, or identify problem areas that require further attention. Gauging credit union member satisfaction is invaluable data that you can leverage.

But we get it. Surveys aren’t your game. Your game is directing your employees and ensuring that your members have superlative service. And, as valuable as it is to gauge member satisfaction, you have no idea where—or how—to start.

That’s okay. Take a deep breath. We’ve thought of everything.

What are Survey Templates?

Survey templates are templates that—you know what? Stop us if you’ve heard this one. Better yet, skip ahead to the next header. We’ll be there waiting.

Still here? Great! So, survey templates are just what they sound like, but better. (Anybody who skipped ahead would be kicking themselves now if they knew.) Essentially, survey templates get you started with surveys even if you don’t know where to start.

LiveSurvey survey templates are a tool you can use to simplify the survey process and make it much easier. Whether it be the survey design, the questions, or the purpose of the whole exercise, our templates are there to help you get used to administering surveys.

The best part is that our templates—which are used by many credit unions across the nation—use standardized questions. These questions result in net promoter scores (NPS) that you can understand and contextualize by comparing yourself against your peers.

(Pro tip: peer benchmarking can be an important strategy for your credit union, especially if you gamify it!)

In a nutshell, here’s what surveys can do for you:

  • Useable insight.
  • Minimal effort.
  • Proven results.

You have to use them well, though. That’s why we created templates. That’s also why we created this blog. We want to give you all the tools you need to succeed.

How is Your Member Satisfaction?

If you don’t know, you’re already a step behind. Surveys can be used to measure member satisfaction on a wide variety of metrics.

Some of the more common metrics measure member satisfaction of your relationship, as well as account surveys, lending surveys, mortgage surveys, credit card surveys, and even branch visit surveys. You can do a survey about pretty much anything about which you want to gain member insight. (Here at LiveSurvey, we often wonder how good your coffee is. We don’t have a problem. We swear.)

(Want to know what else credit unions use our surveys for? Check it out here.)

We understand that creating and understanding surveys can be time-consuming or confusing for those who haven’t made surveys their life. Frankly, knowing what to ask and how to ask it isn’t intuitive for everybody. Even we still have room to learn.

However, your members want to feel listened to and heard. They want to be well taken care of. They want to tell you how they feel, but you have to give them a voice to do it. By crafting the right kinds of questions, you can get usable insight with minimal effort.

Beyond Templates

After you’ve gotten the hang of using survey templates, you can move to the next step of gauging member satisfaction: customizing templates!

And after that, you can make your own. The sky is the limit at that point.
